Busiest Ever Summer Season

We are operating at full speed right now. Having the busiest ever summer season, however we are noticing huge improvements with managing the workload, here at our super new yard in Kings Somborne. It is proving much more efficient running with the staff and equipment now based at one yard, rather than three separate yards. A long term ambition to own our own yard finally fulfilled…

We have worked on some truly splendid VIP weddings (we even made it into Hello magazine!), school balls, the Glastonbury build, Vintage Car Auctions, Lush Cosmetics staff party to name but a few. We have Bestival Music Festival, Yeovilton Air Show , Concerts, Cycling events and Horse Trials all fast approaching.  Site Manager Johnathan Briggs and his team are currently away 24/7, travelling around the country on the Cliff Richard Tour, providing a marquee for VIP hospitality. Corporate and commercial work are at the forefront. We are exceptionally well placed for this type of work, with our hard sided structures capable of accommodating thousands of guests, being 20m wide and 30m wide. The corporate client requires a high standard of structure with solid walls, full glass walls, tensioned roofs and suspended solid floors. This means a big team, appropriate vehicles and lifting equipment. All installed without compromise. These challenges are highly rewarding for us and we are now actively promoting this larger equipment to steer Buchannan forward for future years.

Our homemade lime washed bar units with cedar bar tops have been really popular. Hand- picked (by myself) cedar from a local saw mill, S C Soffe & Sons  at Cadnam, has been sanded down and linseed oiled by Luke to make a stunning feature bar. We either rest them onto oak barrels or our lime washed bar units. Much more classy than the old chrome bar tops yet not as pricey as a feature bar unit, hence an attractive solution for your all – important bar area.

The new marquee PVC washing machine is working all day, every day. It is doing a fantastic job of keeping all our PVC covers clean and in pristine condition. A massive investment for us, but what a difference in quality of turnout! Once PVC is passed its “best”, Steve Moore and his team simply manufacture fresh covers using our PVC welder, to replace.  Steve is also in charge of laundering our linings, sewing and bleaching where required. Having these facilities ensures endless quality, week after week throughout our season.
